Power Grid surges on acquiring Bhind Guna Transmission

Power Grid Corporation of India is currently trading at Rs. 200.95, up by 1.50 points or 0.75% from its previous closing of Rs. 199.45 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 200.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 202.50 and Rs. 199.00 respectively. So far 28467 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group ‘A’ stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 216.20 on 01-Aug-2019 and a 52 week low of Rs. 173.05 on 14-Feb-2019.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 204.70 and Rs. 197.80 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 104657.95 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 55.37%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 40.15% and 4.48% respectively.

Power Grid Corporation of India has acquired Bhind Guna Transmission (BGTL), the Project SPV to establish transmission system for Intra-State Transmission Work associated with construction of 400 kV Substation near Guna in the state of Madhya Pradesh & Intra-State Transmission Work associated with construction of 220 kV Substation near Bhind, Madhya Pradesh), on build, own, operate and maintain (BOOM) basis from REC Transmission Projects Company (the Bid Process Coordinator).

The transmission system comprises 400kV, 220kV and 132kV Transmission lines apart from establishing a new 400/220kV and 220kV/132kV Substation at Guna, and Bhind respectively. The transmission system is an Intra State Transmission System Project in the State of Madhya Pradesh and is to be completed by 36 months.
